Matt loves exploring. Finding out what’s around the next corner or at the top of the next mountain has taken Matt to some of the most remote places on the planet.
He has been organizing and conducting custom adventures, for guests from around the world, for over a decade. During this time he has led expeditions to Antarctica, Fiji, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Alaska, and Canada. Matt has a genuine passion for adventure, a wicked sense of humour and a love of life. It is his energy, enthusiasm and the experiences that he provides that keeps guests returning time and again.
Matt is certified through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia and as a Surf Instructor. When not on expedition he also works as a Heli skiing guide with Last Frontier Heli Skiing. And teaches the Surf and Sea Kayaking guiding courses for Thompson Rivers University’s Adventure Programs.
Angela plays multiple roles with Expedition Engineering. Her main roles are Marketing director, trip planner and lead guide for the company. Angela has a Bachelors Degree in Tourism Management, and a Diploma in Adventure Tourism.
Angela Bueckert has been guiding water-based expeditions for over fifteen years worldwide. From canoe trip guiding in Northern Canada to Sea kayak expeditions in the Arctic, from whitewater kayak expeditions in Asia to ski touring trips throughout BC, Angela has a passion for self support multiday expeditions to explore new parts of the Globe. She has recently received her Apprentice Ski Guide Certificate with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, enabling her to work on the ski trips that Expedition Engineering runs.
Angela is also an instructor and examiner for sea kayaking and white water kayaking organizations in Canada where she works with University students and certifies them for guiding in the water industry. She has worked for Thompson Rivers University for ten years in this capacity.
Angela loves exploring new places, living in the outdoor environment, the physical challenge of self support trips all the while enabling others to share these places and experiences with her. Angela’s enthusiasm is contagious, her laugh infectious and her drive to explore enables all those with her to experience these places with curiosity, fun and sense a of accomplishment.
